Paris
the regular
customers
sitting around
the edges
of this senegalese
restaurant,
colorful
like the
carpets
on the floor
dusty like
the paintings
on the wall,
sipping
Moroccan
mint
tea
slowly,
staring
at the
artificial
sun flowers
by the window
and at
the people
walking in
and out
the
west african
beauty
products
store
across the street,
in front of
which the snow
flies
in all directions,
white like
the tablecloths
and lonely
like these
strangers
gathered together
in a foreign
country,
patiently
awaiting
their usual
thiebu djien.
